Cem Kaner <[email protected]> changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- CC| |[email protected] --- Comment #11 from Cem Kaner <[email protected]> --- Carol Oliver and I worked on replicating this bug on Windows-7 machines. Both of ours are 64-bit Lenovo Thinkpads with i7 processors. Mine is a newer model with a faster hard drive. In my tests, aa.odt and bb.odt load in about the same time. aa seems to come up a little slower but it's pretty fast in both cases. In Carol's tests, aa.odt takes about 4 seconds to load whereas bb takes about 1 second to load. Clearly, as equipment gets faster, tasks that used to take longer take less time and so differences become subjectively less significant. However, I think that the underlying problem is confirmed. It appears that there is SOMETHING different between aa and bb that causes them to load at different speeds. Given that they appear very similar once opened, it is puzzling why their load times should be so different. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
