So I upgraded to 3.4.1, however, every time I open a .doc file that I've
previously created with the immediate previous version of OO, the loading bar
goes about halfway then the program quits. I deleted the .openoffice.org folder
in my home folder and was then able to launch. However, after about 10 seconds
of using the word processor, the program reports that an unexpected error has
occured and it has crashed. It recovers the document and re-opens. About 10
seconds later, it crashes again. This happens over and over.
I uninstlled openoffice and re-installed. Same issue. Removed openoffice again.
Thankfully, I still have the DEBS from OO 3.3.0 so I installed it and it works
flawlessly.
This is the first time I've ever had an issue with OO crashing. Using Xubuntu
12.10 on a Lenovo T60 (Intel).
