Terry's right, the only things you can do are described in response to ooo-users-help@ incubator.apache.org.
The archive is not by digest, so threading digests makes no sense. I think the list robot simply ignores -digest- if it is not significant. Your get request needed to use 537_540, not 537-540. It appears that if your request is malformed, you will receive the same response that ooo-users-help@ obtains. The only way I know to reply to messages "in-thread" is if you receive individual e-mails from the list and reply to the one you want to be seen replying to. News Readers may manage reply threading as well. The synchronization to a thread seems to depend on headers in the SMTP mail envelope and you might not be able to control them manually. It is not something I have learned to do and the list help doesn't get that detailed. - Dennis -----Original Message----- From: Terry [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Tuesday, January 17, 2012 15:37 To: [email protected] Subject: Re: mailing list commands failure This is not an issue handled by users. As I understand it, you should email [email protected] Check the email welcoming you to the list. ----- Original Message ----- > From: e-letter <[email protected]> > To: [email protected] > Cc: > Sent: Wednesday, 18 January 2012 9:52 AM > Subject: mailing list commands failure > > Readers, > > I tried to send a message to: > [email protected], to maintain the > message thread, but only the mailing list manager help message was > received.
