You haven't given a solution in this discussion you only had a negative comment on someone else work around.

I provided a better solution in another message. In Linux & Windows, it's possible to select from a variety of keyboards. The U.S. International keyboard behaves just like a regular keyboard, until you press the right "Alt" key, which you can use to enable other characters.
