I personally like this approach:
1. I like to get something like "Anchor as character" is in Writer for
Calc too. Such anchored object would always be completely inside its
parent cell (which may be merged cells too). The position would be
relative to the anchor, the same way as it is now for "anchor to frame"
in Writer.
Snapping to grid while creating or modifying is not persistent. You
loose alignments, when the column widths or row heights are changed.
Nevertheless the currently available snapping can be improved.
2. I like to get formatting styles for form controls for all modules,
not only in Calc. Such formatting style would contain all the settings,
which are now already possible for graphic objects in Draw/Impress.
3. I like to get formatting styles for graphic objects in Writer and
Calc, so that graphic objects and form controls are handled equally in
all modules.
