autoconf (GNU Autoconf) 2.61
autoheader (GNU Autoconf) 2.61
automake (GNU automake) 1.9.6
ltmain.sh (GNU libtool) 1.5.26 Debian 1.5.26-4 (1.1220.2.493 2008/02/01
16:58:18)
libtoolize (GNU libtool) 1.5.26

If you want I can convert the check to a number of individual checks.

Btw, I was looking for a way to set a default value for a define within
autoconf, but there is none as far as I can see. I'll try something else
by time to make this cleaner...
