Well, I did come up with a better way.  The build should now detect
automatically the compiler version and whether it is a 32-bit or
64-bit build.  So, you shouldn't have to worry about setting MSVCVER
yourself.

This fixes the build machine.  You can now build the Windows package
through the build machine and it completes.
