While I agree that we definitely need API samples, I think it would be
better to get 4.0.0 out the door and add in samples as we get them
done.

For one thing, the external packages that we have contain a lot of
examples on how to build an external function package and use the APIs
in that context.

For a second thing, I started last night working with
RexxCreateInterpreter() and will have at least a couple of very simple
examples done before March 30. I think these examples will be at
least as good as the current 'old' style examples. So, in that sense
we will at least be at the same level as 3.2.0.

The incubator (well actually SourceForge) has that great feature of
being able to download a tarball of a whole directory structure. We
could put some better examples there, after the 4.0.0 release, but way
before the next release. It seems to me that the people who would
want and use the native API samples, would not be overwhelmed by
grabbing a tarball off of the incubator directly.

Oh, by the way. I just did a spell check and saw
RexxCreateInterpreter() pop out in red. Which reminded me how much
fun it was to work with that last night. These are really cool APIs
