Speaking from total ignorance concerning how Mac OS X works, I would guess that rxapi would need to be customized so that on the Mac it does NOT deamonize itself. All that stuff should be bypassed and just start the main code.
Take this advice with a big grain of salt. As I said, I am truly ignorant about the Mac.
