So it's not people who write the code for the alarm objects? :-). Or if
it is only one person, then he or she can choose either spelling ... (but in
general, I'd provide both anyway).

That doesn't really work in this case, because these are methods that get
called by the alarm objects, not methods that that the user calls.

Why not provide both the UK and US spellings? That's what we did for
