You sound like me back in circa year 2000 comparing Classic Rexx on OS/2 to Object Rexx on Windows. Fortunately CPU's have gotten quite a bit faster since the year 2000, and I rarely fire up OS/2 so rarely experience the raw speed of Classic Rexx.
