Yes, unfortunately. Known difference between Windows and *nix. Even on Windows, between command line ren and move, one is able to overwrite existing target files (I believe move), whereas the other (ren) is not. Since we (ooRexx'ers) are not in the business of making things operate the same across platforms, I vote to leave it as-is.
