Skimming over Howard Fosdick's book on Rexx, I stumbled over Chpater 14, "Discovering Defaults - the address Function" which returns address instruction settings, including the following arguments:
* Input ... returns the input default * Output ... returns the output default * Error ... returns the error default * Normal ... returns the current default environment Not sure whether this would be possible in the ooRexx implementation (if so, a RFE might document this for a future implementation). ---rony
