At <https://sourceforge.net/projects/bsf4oorexx/files/beta/20200928/> you will
find the new version
of BSF4ooRexx, July 29th, 2021.

Please scroll down beyond the file list and read the hints there, especially if
you are running
Windows or MacOS, as you probably need to unblock the installation zip archive
(and on Mac the
special Mac instalelr) before you can use it.

The text file "changesBSF4ooRexx.txt" documents briefly the changes.

As BSF4ooRexx is an ooRexx-Java bridge you need both preinstalled for your
system:

  * the (preferably latest) ooRexx 5.0 from
    <https://sourceforge.net/projects/oorexx/files/oorexx/5.0.0beta/>
  * and a Java version (suggesting Java 8; if using Java 11 or higher make sure
to download a JDK
    that includes the JavaFX modules), e.g. the "Azul" distribution "JDK FX"
from
    <https://www.azul.com/downloads> or the "Liberica" distribution "Full JDK"
from
    <https://bell-sw.com/>.

"https://sourceforge.net/projects/bsf4oorexx/files/beta/20200928/BSF4ooRexx_install_v641-20210728-beta.zip/download"-installation
package:

      * download & make sure it is unblocked, then unzip and change into
        "bsf4orexx/install/{your_op_sys]" and run the "install" script from the
command line

      * Note to MacOS users:
              + the zip package is for you, if you have ooRexx 5 from the
ooRexx site above
                installed alredy, otherwise
              + you can use the MacOS installer that contains the experimental
universal ooRexx and
                BSF4ooRexx:

"https://sourceforge.net/projects/bsf4oorexx/files/beta/20200928/b4r_641_500_64Bit_macosx-universal-20210728-r12266.zip/download";;
                this package needs Java preinstalled

The ooRexx-Java-bridge comes with numerous, easy to understand examples that
demonstrate how one can
take advantage of this bridge. The "samples" subdirectory contains an
"index.html" file in each
subdirectory which briefly comments each nutshell example.

If you have any questions, especially "stupid" questions, please come forward
and ask them! I will
be happy to answer them, if I am able to!
