did you test this before posting your question?

No. I upgraded systems. With the new Linux, I must run ooRexx v5. And I no longer have BSF4ooRexx installed on the new system.

It is easy to install BSF4ooRexx:

 * make sure you have Java installed (java -version), if not, install Java
("OpenJDK" is Java) with
   JavaFX included (look for attributes like "fx" or "full" and the like), e.g.
from
     o Liberica OpenJDK from <https://bell-sw.com/pages/downloads/>
     o azul from <https://www.azul.com/downloads/>
     o or OpenJDK from Amazon, IBM, Microsoft, Oracle, SAP, and the like - they
all use the same
       codebase

 * download the latest BSF4ooRexx850 (Java 8+ and ooRexx 5.0+) from:
   <https://sourceforge.net/projects/bsf4oorexx/files/beta/20221004/>
     o download "BSF4ooRexx_install_v850-20221127-beta2.zip" and unzip
     o go into "bsf4oorexx/install/linux" run "sh install.sh"

To double check: after installing BSF4ooRexx850 go into the "BSF4ooRexx850" menu and run "ooRexxTry.rxj". If it runs, you are set. You will see the most important version information in the window title.

Then you should be able to test the two scripts on your system.

HTH
