Greetings ooRexx'ers,

I saw a reply directly from Rony first, and replied to it.... Now discover he
also answered this list:

The run-time environment of methods created with self~SetMethod() seem funky.

Sorry, need to run, however, have you consulted rexxref.pdf's "new" method on the Method
class, namely the optional "context" argument? Would that help?

I appear to have caused confusion by referring back to the year 2008, and at
the time the client was running on IBM ORexx 2.1.1 when we were developing the
Persistence class wrapper for the ancient
IBM DB2 Rexx driver.

I no longer have access to that software stack.... sadly long decommissioned.

I will work up a test program on more current ooRexx on Linux....

$ rexx -v
Open Object Rexx Version 5.0.0 r12583
Build date: Dec 23 2022
Addressing mode: 64

I am intrigued to see if the "context" argument was in the "new" method of the
class already in v2.1.1, that would have solved it back then.... ;-)

I am thankful,
