Franz,
While I congratulate you on your achievements, I must correct you on this
misconception:

PL/I (i am proud, an Austrian Language-Development) and from the end of 1970's

PL/I was designed in NYC and implemented in Hursley, UK, as Checkout and
Optimizing Compiler.
The IBM Lab Vienna developed a Formal Definition of PL/I (Syntax and Semantics)
comprising
several hundred pages called ULD (Universal Language Definition).

The Lab (dissolved in 1995) developed a REXX Compiler for VM (and then MVS)
based on Feasability studies done in Israel.
See https://www.rexxla.org/presentations/2015/REXX_Compiler_History.doc

I, with my group, was responsible for testing the compiler
making sure it delivered the same results as the interpreter.

All the best and maybe we see you at the REXX Symposium 2025 in Vienna

Walter
