Just a quick question.  In the past I have installed this package and found it very useful.  I'd like to stay current with this version as I'm sure it has lots of improvements 🙂.  Is there an "update" procedure for "replacing" an older version with the latest one or am I better off deleting the existing one and installing the new one "from scratch"?

There is no need to do an "install", just dequarantize the zip archive and unzip it to a new location. Then go into that new location and issue a "setup" which creates the "run" and the "setenv" scripts which make the net-oo-rexx resources and packages immediately available for use!

If you leave your old net-oo-rexx version on the PC you could open another terminal and use that /in parallel with the new version!/

BTW, the rexx-parser package from Josep Maria Blasco got updated as Josep Maria did a lot of work there, great and interesting stuff! You can use his rexx-parser to parse any Rexx and ooRexx program. One off-spring available in the rexx-parser package is the syntax highlighter for Rexx and ooRexx programs, cool stuff too! :)

P.S.: Of course, you can delete older versions, if you want.

There are a new net-oo-rexx packages (Windows, MacOS, Linux) available for download from: https://wi.wu.ac.at/rgf/rexx/tmp/net-oo-rexx-packages/

Each net-oo-rexx package can be used to use (or check-out) the latest versions of ooRexx and some helpful packages for it (like BSF4ooRexx, an ooRexx-Java bridge) and NetRexx.

Unquarantine the Windows ("powershell unblock-file *") and MacOS (use 'xattr' to learn the name of the quarantine attribute and then 'xattr -d' to delete it) net-oo-rexx packagaes before unzipping them. Then run "setup" and you can already use ooRexx with BSF4ooRexx, or NetRexx.

One important package is "oorexxshell", which is a *great*, versatile, very useful shell for Windows, MacOS, and LInux by Jean Louis Faucher.

See the enclosed "readme*txt" files for more information.
