I believe that the flicker must be depending on the hardware you are
running on. With my Vaio with an Intel i5-2520M 2.5GHz CPU I can hardly
notice any flicker, at least not so that it's disturbing in any way.
Personally I think flicker is something one can live with unless you are
creating a game where the goal is to change the size of the window all the
time :)
