Hello Mark,
Again thank you for the -l flag. Unfortunately, either I'm not
understanding it or found a bug.
BTW, I mentioned this topic in an earlier message, but suspect I buried it
with all my other stuff. (It is only reason, I'm now trying to write
individual messages for each unique issue.)
When I issue the command: testOORexx -X native_api -l
ooTest_2014_02_16_03_05.log
The log output does NOT go to the file: ooTest_2014_02_16_03_05.log
Instead the output goes to: C:\Program
Files\ooRexx\ooTest-4.2.0-snapshot06A\ooRexx\base\rexxutil\platform\windows\ooTest.log
I did notice the parameter AFTER -l is necessary, as if I don't include it
(ooTest_2014_02_16_03_05.log) an error message appears.
A couple of questions:
(1) Is the output suppose to appear on both the screen and in the log file?
(2) Is the log file suppose to contain everything that would appear on the
screen or just some of it? I ask because I'm wondering:
(2A) When using the "-s" option should all that output be in the log file.
(2B) When not using the "-s" option should the many "......." and other
stuff also be in the log file.
(3) Would it be possible to have the output only go to the log file?
IMHO, I would hope to see in the log everything seen on the screen. This
is especially true for the "-s" option.
Take care and thank you again for the -l and -x flags! I greatly
appreciate them.
Bert.
