Why risk it? It seems that there is quite some desinformation campaign going on against Oracle/Java. So one needs to be careful to let oneself be misled by "web reading".
Actually Java is very capable and very secure and whenever there is a vulnerability uncovered, it gets addressed swiftly. (A lot of special security devices have Java running and implementing the necessary/needed security policies.) To state that "the underlying Java model is incapable of adequate security" is wrong and pure desinformation, FUD (fear, uncertainty, doubts) at its best! ---rony P.S.: Ad Firefox and other browsers (from Apple, from Google, etc.): it seems that these organisations and/or companies are interested in killing any plugins from "unauthorized" third parties, citing "security vulnerabilities", whether they exist or not. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ _______________________________________________ Oorexx-users mailing list Oorexx-users@lists.sourceforge.net https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/oorexx-users
