Cagdas Alcicek commented on OOZIE-650:
--------------------------------------
Unfortunately I am not able to provide a sample, I have however attached a
skeleton xml file of the main workflow and the sub workflow that has the issue,
I have removed the contents of all the jobs and renamed them. I have also added
some diagrams to make it easier to view the transitions between the jobs.
The freeze happens at the end of the sub workflow attached, all the jobs
complete and have a status of "OK" but the workflow does not transition back to
the main workflow and carry on to sub-wf-3.
When the workflow gets stuck, I kill the whole workflow and re-run it. When I
re-run it, the workflow completes successfully.
> Oozie workflow hangs on transition from one sub workflow to the next

> Our current workflow is as follows, we have a main workflow which splits off
> into 3 different sub workflows. Each of the sub workflows have a number of
> nested forks and joins.
> We are seeing an issue where the workflow does not transition from one sub
> workflow to the next. From what we can see this happens on random occasions,
> all the jobs in the sub workflow which we are transitioning from have a
> status of "ok" but the workflow does not transition on to the next sub
> workflow. It is not clear whether the sub workflow is hanging on the final
> join or the transition to the parent workflow.
> When we kill and re-run the job it completes successfully.
