Since RB does not copy review comments here, copying from RB:
Addressing virag's comments in patch v2 (about to be uploaded after running
tests). Also, there are tons of unit tests invoking the JPA executors in the
existing fashion. So it doesn't make sense to 'delete' those existing JPA
executors without requiring an extensive rewrite of the unit tests.
