Bill Page from the Algebraist Network has sent you a message: First of all, thank you to everyone for your interest and participation in Algebraist!
Algebraist on crowdvine.com is intended as a "social network" between developers and users of Aldor as well as a front-end to other developer and user resources for Aldor. To that end, I think it would facilitate interactions if everyone could provide some basic information in their online profiles. I understand of course most people's reluctance to expose too much personal information about themselves to the Internet but I believe that there is a need also to be recognized for work done and to establish contacts on subjects of mutual interest. It is necessary to find a balance between these concerns and objectives that works for you. If you haven't done so already, please login and review your profile information on the "My Profile" tab at: http://algebraist.crowdvine.com There you can find links to * edit profile * edit answers * add external feeds * add a post If you have any questions about how to use these features, please let me know. I would also be especially grateful if the users of the Algebraist Network would find some time comment to other users about their interests. To do this you can find other people with common interests by clicking on the tags found on the right hand column, e.g. "Axiom", "category theory", "Python", etc. Click on their image or icon to view their profile and then leave them a message by clicking "+ add a comment". This is how conversations get started. You can of course add a "blog" entry of your own (see "add post" on you own profile page as mentioned above). These messages and blog entries will be visible to other users of Algebraist when they visit the Home page. Finally, I would like to strongly encourage you to make the Algebraist Network grow! If you know of other people who might be interested in joining Algebraist please invite them to join us by going to the "My Network" tab and click on "invite friends". A large network of interested users and developers could be a great benefit for the long term prospects of projects such as Aldor. Cheers, Bill Page. --------------------- http://algebraist.crowdvine.com http://algebraist.crowdvine.com/profile/12668 ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Check out the new SourceForge.net Marketplace.
