| How is 'Modemap' different from 'Mapping'?

I thought I explained it and several times in the past (and repeated
in the last couple of threads).
A Modemap is the library domain for the notion of `modemap' that
underpins all AXIOM systems:

operation name + domain of computation + signature (+ possibly predicate)

A Mapping is a code pointer.
