No, I didn't assume that.  Does "experimental local branch" indicate that it
requires deeper changes to the interpreter?

If the changes are sufficiently local, maybe I could try to adapt them for
FriCAS and we could try to work out things together?

Yes, sure.  But hope dies last, and I wanted to make sure that you know that
it's relatively high priority for me, and that I find myself unable to do
anything about it, since I'm completely ignorant about these language issues.

Would be wonderful if we could make progress on this...
