The problem was mysterious, since FASL was generated in fact and this crude hack made the build finish. Now I've got report that it OpenAxiom 1.4.1 fails too, found this uncommitted change in my drafts and posted it. The patch is reported not to apply. I'll investigate the issue when I get to 64-bit system. I'm surpsised.
