I thanks for the report.

Pathname abstraction has always been a thorny
issue that I thought I've ironed out, but apparently
they are back.  I suspect long term is that we move
to use our own supplied foreign functions so we get
the same semantics across the supported Lisp systems.

Ouch.  Looking into it.  It might just be
a "handshake" snafu between AXIOMsys and
sman.
