Dogs drool a lot, not good for electronics ;)

Bears are also very smart animals, and they can be sociable if
they're raised with people. I've seen American black bears perform in
shows, and watched film of polar bears and grizzlies outsmarting zoo
keepers. Some people may remember a grizzly named Bart, who acted in movies
for years. Then there's the panda, with its striking appearance.
Among birds, the blue jay, the cardinal, the hummingbird, and the
magpie are colorful possibilities. There are some colorful ducks and geese,
too.

Many of the suggestions (not only Jacks), have been quite dull colored animals, I think that a colorful animal would be the best mascot for a graphics card, to show how "good" the card is. I would have liked to have a cat as mascot, but they aren't any more colorful than dogs, bear or owls.

Then a poisonous frog could be something, as those many times have quite strong colors, eg http://www.skansen-akvariet.se/vara_djur/html/pop_groda_5.html
or http://www.rosenmedia.se/album/stora/6141.jpg
Many birds are colorful too, so those could be a good choise too IMHO.
