I am too. This hypothetical feature is targeted at making Unity a
faster and more efficient development board to support the Clarity ASCI
effort.
It would be useful if and only if the Unity board has enough EEPROM
space to contain more than one FPGA image. Whether those images are
compressed or not is immaterial.
I'm not suggesting right now that the origin header and
"Read-the-origin" reload button be put on the board. I am suggesting that
the idea be filed for a later decision.
