I would rather use one that can be connected to the Lattice chip.
Why? simply because then it's possible to read it out even if
no voltmeter is available and it can be done by the driver to check
whether the Xilinx is overheating. Ofcourse if both the Lattice and
Xilinx are mounted to the same heat sink, then both will have about
the same temp, ie the Xilinx might cause the Lattice to fail.
Maybe some over temp protection should be included.
