This is something that Russel might be able to help us fix. Kinda like subscribing to the list, it would be nice if the wiki had a way that someone would create an account based on their email address, require a response via email to validate, and then require a login to edit. This wouldn't stop the more bold of spammers, but it would stop most of them.
