This is exactly why companies end up with full product lines, and
not just single products.  Not every customer needs the same thing.
        OGD1 doesn't have to be the last FPGA board Traversal designs. 
After you take your best shot at covering the widest practical range of
applications with the first board artwork and a reasonable-sized menu of
factory options and plug-in accessories, you can always go on later to
design other boards with different feature sets.  The ASIC is even more
likely to wind up in a whole bunch of different board product families.
