Exactly. The problem is, how do we manage the PR, that
1) We can sell an FPGA board, while
2) promoting the development of an graphics card

Define a target, open up some bank accounts, register a paypal
account and finaly set up a web page.

I doubt that defining 2mio is a good target. There is not
that much money around in the community for a graphics card IMHO.
Maybe something in the 100k range is something that can be
achieved. But what would we target then?

Bank accounts should be somewhat spread over the world. Especialy
if you know the troubles to send money from europe to the states.
I could set up here a swiss bank account, which would give all that
a nice coloring ;)

Keep that this way until there is really enough money to
open it up.

I really doubt that we can make that much money, although i've
been surprised how fast how much money MPlayer got in their found
raising (ok, the target was just a few thousand USD for a new server,
but still)
