Interesting enough, there may be a market for this in the Radio Broadcasting. My father is a radio engineer, and I a station manager. More and more the transmitter sites (which are often miles from the studio) are including computer interfaces. A low cost way of monitoring (via USB, Serial, and even audio?), over a network would be great. Especially if it could be done securely over a network.
