I put 7.1 on my laptop yeterday (Just required a copy of openMotif on
it for libXaw.so.3). (Debian unstable).

It runs, and I managed to get a small verlog program to compile. Funny
thing is it seems to have installed all the required datafiles for the
3S4000 & 5000 FPGA's, but only shows up to the 1500 in the menu when
creating a new project. Not sure why... Unless it's a universal
download & a license key unlocks the rest. (Docs, what docs? :)

I tried a quick & dirty hack, but the ISE doesn't like it if I use a
binary editor to change the project to use a 4000... Obviously a
checksum in there somewhere :)

7.1 would be fine though if someone knew how to hack the project file
to specify the bigger chip...
