I recall people wanting fancy features for CAD awhile back.  I don't recall
the exact details.

This isn't about my personal needs/desires.  I could configure it via the
rs-232 port, or perhaps some other method.  This is about not throwing
out useful (necesary to some) features that are easy and inexpensive.
I fully agree with not supporting the high-end gaming features, since
they are difficult and expensive.

Your email is inserting funny characters into people'e quotes.  E.g. the 'a'
with a carot above it isn't mine.
