Will the OGC board have this JTAG interface, or only the OGD?
What percentage of users will know what a JTAG interface is,
much less have a Binford 6100 JTAG interface access console
to talk to it? I'm a EE and I don't.

The JTAG is for programming the FPGAs, so TRV10 won't have it.
However, there's nothing stopping us from designing an RS232
controller for OGD1 and iltimately uncluding it in an ASIC.

I'm not sure that we can do all the things you say you want to do with
it, but I can see it as being sufficiently useful that we might
include it.

BTW, I don't know how much value there is in emulating someone else's
device. In fact, there may be legal complications with that. With an
open design, either way is workable.
