Doesn't matter. If scrolling text isn't displayed for a consecutive odd
and even field, you won't see text, you will just see crap.
Just like what you see on some slow-responce LCDs.
Besides, given the poor beam focus of most TV's you're just going to
see crap anyhow. Even when the display is completely static.

The boot screen for Linux scrolls. I don't know if most BIOS screens
scroll or not.
It scrolls, generally too fast to read, especially on my Planar LCD
monitor, a monitor that I generally think of as quite brilliant.
