i just hit a wall with booting my kt600 without a vga bios. i can
initialize the dram ide usb and then bam! no display!

cant we just get rid of the vga bios? and boot straight into graphics
mode? for that reason alone im pretty willing to loan money from my
bank to buy a 100% open graphics card that can boot at a fraction of
the time it takes a current card.

pci interface and no acceleration is pretty much acceptable to me at this point.

i just want to get a login screen in 5 seconds or less. pleaeaeaeaease!

things i hate about my linux pc:

1. it takes more than a second to boot up
2. keeps asking about filenames and directories
3. does not remember what i was working on yesterday
4. does not remember all the changes i have ever made
5.cannot figure out necessary settings by itself
