This looks promising.  Being programmable, new codecs would not require
new hardware.  (Unless you needed a faster DSP.)

I've only given this a quick skim so far, but it even appears to have virtually
everything we'd want/need for a standalone server.  DACs, Ethernet, UART (no
chicken-and-egg video mode problems), USB.  TT could get an initial product or
two out the door without a gazillion dollar ASIC mask.
