We did I2C for TROZ. IIRC, the hardware wasn't all that complex. The
protocol is so low-speed that we were able to do it mostly in
software. Maybe I'm remembering that wrong, but I don't recall anyone
ever complaining about it. Doesn't I2C essentially give the master
"manual" control over the clock?
