Thanks for the answer.  The fact that you're interested in quoting
answers my basic question.  This is enough to tell us that it's reasonable
to continue exploring a concept that calls for a custom cable.
        I'm reading up on the DVI standards, and should be able to describe
the basic requirement in a few days.
