Somewhat off topic for this list, but since there are a number of folks on here who might be able to give input I figured I'd ask. I'm looking for a good, basic FPGA development board. I'm not looking for a whole lot of extra peripherals and what not on the board, though I wouldn't be against it either. Specifically, I'm looking for a board with a good general purpose expansion bus. The more FPGA I/O signals available the better. My needs are pretty basic. I play around with some embedded microcontroller stuff that I'd like to be able to expand with more powerful logic as well as a learning environment for hardware developent, etc. I'm sort of leaning towards something like this: http://www.digilentinc.com/Products/Detail.cfm?Prod=S3BOARD&Nav1=Products&Nav2=Programmable. Perhaps with a XC3S400-FT256 instead of the base 3S200.
