I've just had a look at the PDF. Here are a few more comments:
1. I think the first page should stick to the technical subjects:
capabilities and specs. This is what a customer wants to know. The
who-we-are sections should follow after.
2. The layout is a good start. Further tweaking should pay off in a better
first impression. I wouldn't use black for the reverse cut; a color is more
typical of a commercial product data sheet. A look at a variety of data
sheets on line might pay off in ideas -- look around www.analog.com or
www.linear.com. A light color might work well.
Also, the reverse cut should be balanced vertically; the background
color goes further below the type than above it.
I know a lapsed commercial artist; maybe he'd be willing to make
some suggestions.
3. Right at the head of the first page, below the part number and company
logo, should be the product description, consisting of a noun and a very few
adjectives. This sets the context for the rest of the document, and helps
the reader recognize relevant product data during a component search.
Typically, this is something along the lines of "X7R Chip Capacitor",
"Precision Dual Op amp", or the like. I'd nominate "Open Graphics
Development Board".
4. After the first-page heading, it's common practice to list the 4 or 5
major attributes of the product at the top of the left column. Again, this
is for first-pass recognition during a search. Some terms might be:
Full technical documentation
Programmable internal logic
Dual dual-link DVI-I ports
S-video port
PCI
Up to 330 MHz dotclock rate standard, 500 MHz optional
Accessory connector
5. Including the TT logo at the beginning, as was suggested, seems like a
good idea. It would help the look of the brochure. There doesn't seem to
be a downside. The OGP open-window logo could be put with the OGP
paragraphs toward the end.
6. The MMBD7000L is just a diode. It's not a big enough deal to include in
product data.
7. Spartan is misspelled. The URL to its data sheet isn't a major feature,
and doesn't need to be on the first page. There should be a distinction
between functional features and implementation details.
