I've just checked in a simulation model of a PCI master. In some ways, it resembles how I want our real (synthesizable) master to work, but this one is just designed as a test harness for the our PCI target. However, it will be used as a template for the real master.
Now, it's time to do some serious testing on both target and master. If I were to now focus my attention on carefully documenting this PCI controller, would more people become interested in working on it with me? One challenge will be to get people knowledge of what PCI transactions should look like so they can check this implementation.
