You should really try glade, it is perfect for creating GUIs
quickly. I didn't mention it, but you can use glade with C or C++,
it doesn't have to be python. I just find python and pygtk ideal
combination for any kind of GUI work. Here's how to get a basic

Besides, python doesn't have much of a learning curve, you

Sure but python is slow. Waveform could be a file of few gigabyte...
