What kind of logic analysis do you want to do?
basically i just want to get my hands dirty with fpgas and have something really useful at the same time. i need to debug the serial protocol and signalling and debugging the interface logic on the boards. the protocol will use 8b/10b encoding. later on I want to replace the double ring with a crossbar. and i might use discrete components for that. I also would like to put the backplane on a pcb later but im not sure if i can do 4 layer boards. this will likely require an oscilloscope.
