Excuse me if the question I am about to ask has been answered or elaborated on; I have been on the list, as a lurker, for a while and try to follow most of the not too technical discussions. I'm not a computer professional by trade (emergency medicine), but have been using Linux and open source software as my main desktop platform for the last ten years and can really appreciate the work being accomplished here.

When does Traversal expect to have a working video card (not the developer's card) available to consumers? My computing needs are entirely being met with an Athlon X2 4800+ on an Asus motherboard currently running NVIDIA graphics. It seems that if I want open source video now, I would have to replace RAM, motherboard, and CPU to take advantage of something from Intel with its integrated X3000 series graphics. But if something from Traversal were available in, say, the next seven to nine months, I could just get rid of the NVIDIA card and keep the rest of the system.

BTW, is there a pre-order page?

Sincerely,

Nick
