#5: is '256 MiB' a typo and should read '256 MB' ?

Before I move further, I was wondering if I could get some
suggestions. Mostly, I'm trying to nail down basic content... which
ideas to cover. Next, I'll work on what to SAY for each slide, and
finally, the graphic art will have to be done up nicely.

The time slot is from 2:35 to 3:20. I expect to use the first 30
minutes for talking and the remaining 15 for Q&A. That means I
shouldn't do more than 15 slides of the sort that I would talk about
much.

Here's what I have so far:

http://www.traversaltech.com/files/speech.odp

I'd love to pack it with lots of interesting information, but I don't
know what information to pack it with, and I'm not sure I have the
time anyhow. I want to give people some knowledge about graphics
technology and what FOSS users want/need. I want to explain what
we've done and what we're doing. I want to wow people with a demo of
real hardware (but what can I demo besides GNOME or KDE or
something?). I want to motivate.

Some things to fix/discuss..
# 2: put a timeline there & text in bubbles around
# 3: add ideology - free/open docs = independence/freedom
# 4: image loads somewhat slow, use lower resolution..
# 5: add max resolution to dvi (2x2560x1600) & analog (?)
# 5: 100+ user io is not real, the 100pin IDC must have some grounds,
use the real count & change suffix: "free i/o signals for extension"
# 5: not PCIe but PCI-X
# 6: demo idea: xdpyinfo|head or something that shows you are actually
running it. Like Steve's keynote with the intel mac :) If the driver
allows block transfer an uncompressed video could be playable? Or show a
youtube video, just to show that the card is no different than another.
# 7: inform that minimalistic would not be the current state (pixel only
access) as it would be in commercial products (like winmodems,
gdiprinters..)
# 10: not for games but 3D desktop/gui will work

Btw, speeches will be recorded? I'd like to see yours :)

Daniel
